Terms of Service

Effective April 23, 2026.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply whenever you use alhanabakery.ca (the “Site”) or buy a product from Alhana Bakery (“we,” “us”). By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who we are

Alhana Bakery is a family-run bakery operating in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Contact: Yazan.lzidan@gmail.com · (647) 960-4559.

2. Products

Every product is baked to order in small batches. Photos are representative — shape, colour, and finish may vary slightly batch-to-batch. Weights shown are approximate; a typical 12-cookie box weighs 300 g ± 5%.

Allergens: our date maamoul contains wheat, dairy, and egg. It is produced in a kitchen that also handles nuts, sesame, and other allergens. If you have a severe allergy, please do not purchase from us.

3. Orders & payment

Payment is processed by Stripe. All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD). We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and other cards supported by Stripe Checkout.
An order is confirmed only after successful payment and our confirmation email. If payment fails, no order is created.
We may refuse or cancel any order — for example, because of a pricing error, suspected fraud, or inability to ship to your location. In that case we will refund you in full.

4. Delivery

Service area:Greater Toronto Area, zoned by distance from our Scarborough kitchen. Zone 1 (Scarborough, East York, Markham, Pickering, Ajax, east North York) and Zone 2 (downtown Toronto, central North York, Richmond Hill, Vaughan). We don’t currently deliver to Mississauga, Etobicoke, Brampton, Oakville, or Burlington.
Delivery fee: Zone 1 — $4.99, free over $25. Zone 2 — $7.99, free over $40.
Schedule: typical delivery takes 2-5 business days across the GTA from order placement.
We do not currently deliver outside the GTA. Same-day delivery is available for orders over $100 — contact us.
Delivery estimates are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays outside our control.

5. Returns & refunds

Because our products are perishable food, we cannot accept returns. If your order arrives damaged, spoiled, or incorrect, email us at Yazan.lzidan@gmail.com within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and a photo. We will either refund the affected items or ship a replacement.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5-10 business days.

6. Catering & wholesale

Catering bookings and wholesale accounts are subject to a separate agreement confirmed via email after you submit an inquiry. Catering deposits, cancellation policies, minimum order quantities, and payment terms will be set out in that agreement.

7. Acceptable use of the Site

You agree not to:

Use the Site for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that could damage it or prevent others from using it.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, our servers, or other customers’ accounts.
Scrape, copy, or resell our product photos, copy, or other content without written permission.
Submit inquiry forms in bulk or for spam purposes.

8. Intellectual property

The Alhana Bakery name, logo, product names, website design, photos, and written content are our property (or used with permission). You may not use them without our written consent, except for non-commercial personal use (e.g. sharing a product photo on your own Instagram, tagging us).

9. Privacy

Your personal information is handled according to our Privacy Policy. By using the Site or placing an order, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described there.

10. Disclaimer & limitation of liability

The Site is provided “as is.” We do our best to keep the Site accurate and available, but we do not guarantee that it will always be up, error-free, or free from security vulnerabilities.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your purchase or use of the Site is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (e.g. lost profits, lost business opportunities).

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under Ontario or Canadian consumer protection law.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of Ontario.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top will always show the most recent version. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
